2015 and 2016 will surely go down in history as one of the best years for Puerto Rico in the international pageant arena. The island of enchantment managed to dominate the male pageant scene. The country placed all major and minor male pageants.
Fernando Alvarez almost snatched Puerto Rico’s first Mr. World crown when he finished 1st runner-up to Rohit Khandelwal of India at Mr World 2016 last 19th July 2016 in Southport, England. Fernando placed top 10 in Mister International 2016 before he competed in Mr World 2016. Melvin Roman won the 3rd edition of Mister Model International last 11th November 2015 in Miami, Florida USA. Christian Daniel Ortiz was named as the first Mister Universal Ambassador last 11th November 2015 in Surabaya, Indonesia. Both Melvin Roman and Christian Ortiz became the first Puerto Rican who won their respective titles.
And now, this powerhouse country of male pageants is searching for their representative to international male competitions such as Mister International, Mister Global, Mister Universal Ambassador, and Top International Male Model of the World.
Meet the official candidates at this year’s Mister International Puerto 2017. Finals will be on 13th November 2016 at Teatro Tapia in San Juan, Puerto Rico’s capital and largest city.
