Dr. Pankaj Ahalwat from India was declared the winner of the very first edition of Mister National Universe competition concluded on 13 June 2017 at the Grand Ballroom of the Pullman Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok, Thailand. Apart from winning the main title, he also won two special awards at the said international pageant that include People’s Choice Award (Online Voting) and The So Cool Guy special award.
The international event was attended by 15 delegates from all over the world, where this charming doctor and model from the national capital city of New Delhi of India was proclaimed the eventual winner. Pankaj Ahlawat participated in the Rubaru Mr India 2017 competition held on 25 February 2017 and was chosen as Rubaru Mr India National Universe 2017. He is the first ever doctor to hold the title of Mr India and this is also for the first time in the history that a doctor has won an international pageant for men. The Rubaru Mr India contest is India’s biggest and most respected pageant for men. It is organized by the Rubaru Group based in the Indian state of Haryana. It has been happening since the year 2004 and is the oldest running annual male pageant of India.
At the prestigious international event in Thailand, four equal runners up were selected as well. They were Daniel Benjamin from Brazil, Daniel Siu from China, Seagame Arthit Mekarkard from Thailand and Nigel Van Andrew from Malaysia. The countries that made it to the top 10 were Belarus, Laos, Myanmar, Russia and the Philippines.
Seven special awards were also given away during the final coronation night of the pageant. Here are the winners of those special awards.

The Mister National Universe competition is based in Thailand and is organized by Russ Downing and Tanya V, the creative director of the Hot Magazine. The winner, Doctor Pankaj Ahlawat is a perfect combination of good looks, magnetic persona and great intellect. He certainly is the most handsome doctor alive.
