India is one of the most consistent performers when it comes to international pageants. However, from past few years India was struggling hard to secure a placement at the world’s biggest and most renowned annual international pageant for men, the Mister International pageant. Finally, this year, India’s Mudit Malhotra ended this drought of non-placement and entered the top 9 at the 11th edition of Mister International pageant held on 13 February 2017 in Thailand. It Is also the highest placement that India ever achieved at the Mister International contest.
Mudit Malhotra won the Rubaru Mister India contest, India’s biggest annual competition for men, held on 24 April 2016 at the Anya Hotel in Gurugram. He became an instant sensation pretty much after his victory and took the social media by storm. He grabbed attention for his killer looks and a Greek-God like physique.
This New Delhi based model and entrepreneur is also a social activist and has been associated with Rubaru Group since a while now, helping to improve the lives of the less fortunate. The Rubaru Group is the parent organization of Rubaru Mister India contest. It was founded by Indian social activist, painter and entrepreneur, Sandeep Kumar in mid 2000’s. One of the main causes that the organization supports is “women empowerment”.
This edition also recoded India’s highest placement at the Mister International pageant. This prominent international event was founded by Alan Sim in the year 2006 in Singapore. It is one of the oldest surviving international pageants for men. This is for the first time in 8 years that India placed at this prestigious international pageant.
