Anurag Fageriya will be representing India at Mister Model International Pageant 2016 to be held from 12 November 2016 to 21 November in the National Capital Region of India with grand finale to take place on 20 November 2016 and the pre-pageant activities will happen in the Anya Hotel in Gurugram. In this exclusive interview with Misterology, he talked about his tryst with pageantry and his future goals.
Q. First of all, many congratulations to you on winning the Mister Model International India 2016 title at Rubaru Mr India 2016 pageant. How does it feel?
Anurag Fageriya: Thank you so much for the wishes! It feels so great. I am overwhelmed with the response that I have received. It is really a wonderful feeling that is hard to express in words. I am really honoured and humbled to have this amazing opportunity to represent India at the prestigious Mister Model International Pageant 2016. It is like a dream come true for me.
Q. What was your reaction when they announced your name at Rubaru Mr India 2016 pageant?
Anurag Fageriya: It was such a fabulous moment for me. I was completely blank for a few seconds that time on the stage and then I realized that was me. I was so happy and excited. I just could not stop smiling, filled with mixed emotions and excitement. It was a wonderful moment indeed.
Q. Tell us more about yourself.
Anurag Fageriya: Well, I am from Rajasthan. I graduated from the University of Delhi. Currently working as a professional model. I would describe myself as an optimistic person. I always try to find something positive in every bad or negative situation I come across. I take every challenge as an opportunity to discover something new and every failure as a new lesson.
Q. How has your journey been so far with the Rubaru Group?
Anurag Fageriya: The journey with Rubaru Group has been amazing. I learnt a lot of new things, met so many wonderful and influential people and made several great friends. I would describe Rubaru Group as my Launchpad and Rubaru Mr India 2016 as the turning point of my life. At the Rubaru, we are all like a bunch of friends, we have fun and also learn new things from each other. It has really been a great experience and I just love it.
Q. How are the preparations going on for the Mister Model International Pageant 2016?
Anurag Fageriya: Preparations are going on in full swing. I am working hard to turn myself into a person who can represent India in the best possible way. I am following a proper routine. From improving my communication skills, to working out in the gym to working on my stage presence, I am trying my best. Right now my entire focus is on making my country proud and I will try my best to do so.
Q. It is for the first time that Mister Model International Pageant is taking place in India and you are representing the host country (India). So how do you feel about it?
Anurag Fageriya: I feel so great and looking forward to welcome my co-contestants to the beautiful country of India. It is such an honour for me to represent India at the extravagant Mister Model International Pageant. The journey will begin soon and I am all set for it. Determined to make my country proud and win as many hearts as possible.
Q. Any quote or saying that has profound impact on you?
Anurag Fageriya: Just be, don’t try to become…it’s who you are takes you far.
